These posts reflect my journey in understanding how the world works, the depth of our predicament, and how we got into it. I list some important principles and practices we need to adopt if we're to build a just, sustainable and loving society. And I offer imaginings of the different journeys we need to take simultaneously!
I intend to update these words and add more as my exploration continues.
I'm inspired by the words of Kerry Turner 
- a good friend of mine - who once said to me something like this <b><i>"If we can't agree how we've got into this mess, how can we possibly agree a way out?"</i></b>
She, and many others I've met and read, have convinced me that the practices of systems thinking are an essential underpinning 'language' for determining our way out. I hope to link you to some of those learnings as we go.
So here we go!
Our civilisation is collapsing. (This first page is just a summary with onward links.)
But maybe I'm wrong and we find a way out. I really hope so.
I aim later to make a page on some of the frequent pushbacks, and why I think each case isn't made sufficiently strongly to be relevant.
But even if the collapse is coming, nobody can predict the form, the scale and impact, or its timing.
And it is for this reason - in my estimation - that all other forms of existing political action continue to be necessary: including electoral reform and governmental change, educating and campaigning, demonstrating, non-violent direct actions, bottom up decision making and more.
But some of us must start thinking about collapse, and making plans. We should particularly consider what training and other pre-requisites need to be in place if a moment comes when large numbers of people decide they want to act with us.
So here's A proposal for what we should start doing.
